PublicDomainFootage.com is an archival footage research firm. Our clients include Netflix, CBS, ABC, FOX, NBC, The History Channel, The Discovery Channel, HBO, ESPN, and many more. Similar to a library or museum, we research, collect, and curate newsreels and footage mostly from the 20th and 21st centuries.

Located in the Washington D.C. area, we have amassed thousands of hours of moving images from the National Archives and other public domain sources over the past 30 years. Our website only represents a small portion of the material we have available. We also offer commissioned services — you can hire us to search the National Archives in D.C. as your personal researcher.
