Mahatma Gandhi Salt Uprising 1930

The 1930 Gandhi Salt Uprising, or Salt Satyagraha was a 24-day, 240-mile march led by Mahatma Gandhi from March 12 to April 5, 1930, to protest the British salt tax. Beginning in Sabarmati, the march ended in Dandi, where Gandhi defied British monopoly by making salt from seawater, triggering massive national civil disobedience.
